Quality Hose – Swan’s Commitment to Our Customers

Swan Hose has been manufacturing high quality garden hose since 1927.  Founded in Bucyrus, OH as the Swan River Tire and Rubber Company, the firm became a virtual overnight success, and increased employment the following year by 50%.  Highlights of its nearly 80 year existence include:

1929 — Name is changed to Swan Rubber Company as tire production declined.
1940 — Buys 30 acres along Beal Ave., the current site of the Bucyrus operations.
1950 — Company begins recycling and reclaiming rubber products.
1993 — Swan becomes the largest recycling site in the state of Ohio.
2001 — Becomes a part of the Tekni-Plex family of companies.
