Description Technical Specs

Swan 50-Foot 1/2" Flex Hose - Expandable Pocket Hose

The FLEX® water hose is Swan’s version of the pocket hose, a hose that’s small enough to “fit in your pocket,” but then expands to a full-size garden hose once filled with water. Once the water is off, the FLEX® pocket hose goes flat and can be easily rolled up into a compact garden hose for hassle-free storage.

This special ability also makes the FLEX® hose less likely to kink than thicker hoses, as well as lightweight and ultra flexible.

But the FLEX® expandable garden hose is not just about being convenient and a breeze to use. It’s also a heavy-duty pocket hose with an impressive 400+ PSI burst strength and crush-proof couplings, ideal for the most demanding watering needs around your home. Its construction is also heavy-duty, with an abrasion- and puncture-resistant covering.

This flexible garden hose is also lead-free, making it drinking-water-safe, and is compliant with California’s strict phthalate-content standards, so it’s safe to use around your home, family and pets.

1 of 5 Terrible product May 5, 2019
Reviewer: Patrick Hannon from Denver, CO United States
I’ve had this for a month and it has failed in a few ways.  Somehow an internal kink developed which severely restricts water flow.  I cannot get the kink out without cutting the outer protective membrane.  The outer covering has slipped off one end leaving the interior plastic exposed and unprotected.  The interior plastic slipped off the metal connection.  I now have a completely useless hose that I paid $40 for a month ago and used maybe half a dozen times.

1 of 5 Disappointment! September 15, 2018
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Winter Garden, FL United States
Needed 200 ft of collapsible hose. bought this product which seemed to be a great buy at the time.
Used the hose(s) on/off for 3-months; followed the storage instructions, coiled each 50 ft section, after using.

Problems with the hose:
1. After the 2nd use I started to have problems with internal kinks that would not disappear by tugging gently on it as indicated in the instructions, therefore the water flow was obstructed totally or partially.
2. I had to buy special tape to wrap around for support in 3 sections that started to bulge and leak.

1. I lost $160 in 200 ft of hose because I don't have the receipts anymore to prove it. Trusting the Goodyear brand, didn't think I would have problems with the hoses.
2. The 4-sections lasted 3-months of non intensive work.
3. I have to visit Home Depot again to buy another 200 ft of a conventional heavy duty hose, obviously of a different brand.
